Enhancing Active Living Among the Older Adults
AfriMama's new initiative is focused on promoting the physical and mental well-being of seniors and older adults of African descent in our community. We have designed programs to keep our elders active, engaged, and connected with their peers as well as the younger folks —an essential step in reducing isolation, preserving cultural identity, passing down knowledge through storytelling and fostering a sense of belonging.
Through this initiative, we aim to create inclusive spaces where our elders can thrive, share their wisdom, and continue to contribute meaningfully to Canadian society.
